What prior expertise is required for the ISO 14001:2015 Lead Auditor Training course?
It is highly advisable to possess prior knowledge of the following environmental management principles and concepts, as well as the intended outcome of an environmental management system:
a) Improved environmental performance;
b) Accomplishment of compliance requirements;
c) Accomplishment of environmental objectives.
Furthermore, knowledge of the requirements of ISO 14001:2015 - which may be acquired by completing a CQI-IRCA certified EMS Foundation Training course or equivalent - and generic management systems including the PDCA cycle and the relationship between the core elements of a Management System and top management, policy, objectives, planning, execution, review and ongoing improvement is necessary.
WHAT ARE THE EXPECTED OUTCOMES UPON FINISHING THE COURSE?
- This course concludes with a two-hour examination;
- Electronic devices, including laptops and mobile phones, are not allowed in the examination room;
- Participants will also be evaluated based on their performance throughout the exercises.
Participants who successfully pass both the examination and the continuous assessment will be granted a Certificate of Successful Completion, satisfying the formal training requirements for the CQI-IRCA EMS Auditor Certification scheme.
Other participants will receive a Certificate of Attendance, but such delegates would not be accepted by a certification body or for CQI-IRCA registration.
