Bureau Veritas has participated in an event organized by Marlink in the frame of a maritime connectivity roadmap including future satellite services such as OneWeb and mPower on top of existing networks and services which are still relevant for many years.
Our contribution as a classification society was to enhance these inputs by presenting an overview of the maritime landscape in terms of compliance and beyond. Bureau Veritas its representative Mr. Panagioti Anastasiou, Cyber Security Technical Leader of M&O, provided a class view on cyber security threats identified in the past 2 years and also how the future of maritime cybersecurity is anticipated with the contribution of the new UR’s from IACS
