The “Equality Badge” and ISO 30415:2021. Two powerful tools for advancing Corporate Sustainability
Oct. 8 2026
The official launch of the “Equality Badge” initiative by the Greek Ministry of Social Cohesion and Family marks a new milestone for organizations that actively promote equality, transparency, and the prevention of violence and harassment in the workplace.
The programme is open to businesses of all sizes, from SMEs to large enterprises, and provides an opportunity to recognize organizations that contribute to creating a more inclusive, equitable, and safe working environment.
Participation in the programme requires the submission of an online application through the Ministry’s dedicated platform between 15 July and 30 October 2026.
The evaluation process is based not only on compliance with the programme’s core criteria but also on the ability of organizations to demonstrate that their policies are effectively implemented and embedded in day-to-day operations.
Strengthening Diversity and Inclusion with ISO 30415:2021
A valuable framework for supporting these efforts is ISO 30415:2021 – Human Resource Management – Diversity and Inclusion. This international standard provides a comprehensive approach to managing diversity and fostering inclusion across the workforce, enabling organizations to assess, strengthen, and continuously improve their policies related to equality, transparency, and workplace well-being.
By implementing ISO 30415, businesses can demonstrate alignment with internationally recognized best practices, thereby reinforcing the credibility and robustness of their application for the Equality Badge.
How can Bureau Veritas support your Your Equality Badge journey?
Bureau Veritas, a global leader in testing, inspection, certification, and verification services, supports organizations through specialized solutions, with ISO 30415:2021 certification serving as a key pillar. The certification process involves a detailed assessment of corporate policies and practices in critical areas such as gender equality, prevention of violence and harassment, transparency in management processes, equal opportunities, and the promotion of work-life balance.
Through the assessment and certification process against ISO 30415:2021, organizations go beyond simply meeting the programme’s requirements. The resulting Statement of Conformity provides independent evidence of their commitment to diversity and inclusion, further strengthening the credibility of their Equality Badge application. In addition, it serves as valuable supporting evidence for sustainability reporting, while addressing the expectations of customers, financial institutions, investors, and other stakeholders that increasingly evaluate organizations against environmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria. It also demonstrates commitment to compliance with applicable legislation in these areas.
For organizations committed to equality, inclusion, and sustainable development, Bureau Veritas offers the expertise and independent assurance needed to transform these commitments into a tangible competitive advantage. Certification against ISO 30415:2021 not only supports successful participation in the Equality Badge programme but also enhances corporate reputation, stakeholder trust, and long-term business resilience.
Success in the programme can open new opportunities for your organization while strengthening the confidence of employees, customers, investors, and other key stakeholders.
