Energy Transition Survey Report 2025

Aug. 6 2025

THE NEW BUREAU VERITAS REPORT IS NOW ONLINE

Renewable energy investments have grown, but climate goals remain distant. Wealthy nations dominate clean energy funding, leaving the Global South—hosting two-thirds of the world's population—with merely 15% of sustainable energy investments.

Achieving meaningful decarbonization requires redistributing resources, empowering developing regions, and creating a truly global energy transformation. Without equitable strategies, our climate objectives will continue to slip away.

International collaboration and innovative financing are crucial to bridging this critical investment gap.

"Leveling the transition will bring energy to millions of people, while ensuring a low-carbon future".

This is the central message of the Bureau Veritas Global Energy Transition Report 2025, just published, resulting from the third edition of the Global Energy Transition Survey.

During the period spanning March through May 2025, Bureau Veritas conducted a comprehensive survey, gathering perspectives and expert insights from more than 1,100 professionals across the global energy landscape. These market experts and industry leaders represented diverse geographical regions and various segments of the energy sector.

The resulting report - published in English - focuses on presenting pragmatic approaches and exemplary strategies from international contexts. Its primary objective is to demonstrate the potential pathways for addressing escalating worldwide energy requirements in an environmentally sustainable and responsible manner.
