Τhe Capital Link Greek Shipping Forum, held on Friday 07th February 2025 at the Athenaeum Intercontinental Hotel, once again brought together industry leaders to discuss the evolving landscape of global shipping. From shifting trade routes and regulatory developments to energy security and decarbonization, the conversations underscored the resilience and adaptability of the maritime sector.
We were proud to be part of these important discussions:
🔹 Nick Brown, Corporate Affairs Director, moderated the Keynote Industry Leadership Roundtable: Steering the Course – Driving the Industry Forward. Featuring top voices from BIMCO, INTERCARGO, International Chamber of Shipping, and Tsakos Energy Navigation Ltd (TNP), the session explored how the industry can navigate complexity while driving progress. He says: “With so many transformational forces shaping global shipping, it’s crucial that we come together to exchange insights and steer the course forward. This forum provided a valuable platform to do just that."
The panel addressed big picture issues: how to decarbonize the industry, looking at practical measures available today; the potential for shipowners to act as guardians of the oceans; and the importance of protecting our seafarers from unfair criminalization – a reality addressed by a press release issued recently by the Roundtable of shipowner associations:

🔹 George Andreadis, Marine Chief Executive for Greece, has reinforced our commitment to the Greek shipping community. He says: "Greek shipping continues to lead on the global stage, and Bureau Veritas Marine & Offshore remains committed to supporting its evolution with our technical expertise and regulatory guidance. It was great to connect with industry leaders and share perspectives on the challenges and opportunities ahead."
