AQAP 2110 Certification
ALLIED QUALITY ASSURANCE PUBLICATION
What is AQAP standard?
The AQAP 2000 series (Allied Quality Assurance Publication) is quality guideline developed by NATO in order to:
- Ensure effective Quality Management in contractual matters between NATO countries’ defence organizations and companies in the supply chain;
- Achieve a high level of uniformity between the member countries and other countries working together with NATO within the defence industry.
With AQAP-2110 certification you can be sure that the supplier is capable of manufacturing products that comply with the requirements in the Acquirer contract.
How to obtain attestation according to the AQAP guideline?
To achieve AQAP certification, the company must already be certified according to ISO 9001 or have established ISO 9001 requirements without a certification. You can implement the AQAP standard in two different ways:
- As an independent certification that does not affect the existing ISO 9001 certification;
- As an extension of the company’s existing ISO 9001 certification. In this case the ISO 9001 management system is adjusted to fulfil additional requirements and guidelines specified in AQAP.
The choice between an independent AQAP certification and an extension of the company’s ISO 9001 certification depends on the company’s specific needs. Bureau Veritas Hellas can help you and your company, whether your company is ISO 9001 certified by us or another certification body.
